El vicepresidente entrante, Rafael Espada, dijo que ha instado a todos los miembros de su gabinete y se ha propuesto a sí mismo, “hacer una cosa buena por Guatemala en los 1,460 días que ocuparemos el poder.” Además anuncia que habrá reuniones casi diarias con el presidente Alvaro Colom en el momento en que ambos asuman el poder. “Si está lejos, lo haremos por teléfono”, dijo a una radioemisora.
